The crash occurred at approximately 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday, March 5, 2025, as Nebraska was battling dangerous winter weather conditions.
According to reports from the Nebraska State Patrol, the Chevrolet Trailblazer carrying Daniel and Emelin lost control due to icy roads, crossed the median, and collided with an eastbound semi-truck.
Sadly, both Daniel and Emelin were pronounced deceased at the scene. The driver of the semi sustained non-life threatening injuries and was transported to the hospital for treatment. The severe winter storm played a significant role in the accident, with authorities responding to over 300 weather related incidents statewide during the storm.
