Cancun, Mexico – A devastating accident on March 6, 2025, turned a joyous occasion into a heartbreaking tragedy for Elise Caffee and Dan Caffee. The couple had traveled to Mexico to attend a close friend’s wedding, but while en route to their hotel, their vehicle was struck by a truck carrying asphalt, which overturned, trapping Elise and their driver, Luis, inside.
Despite the heroic efforts of Dan and first responders, Elise was pulled from the wreckage after a difficult rescue operation. Tragically, Luis did not survive the accident.
